Still don't understand it, but it looks horrific.

I'm just thinking how much waste that produces for a single cup of coffee.

Not necessarily... Joods said they were refillable. But I agree with the sentiment... not only are these sorts of pre-packaged meals/drinks expensive, they're also a waste of packaging materials that often can't be recycled. Like having an unrecyclable plastic tub for chewing gum or sometimes even metal boxes for sweets... just seemingly endless packaging thrown away for the sake of quickly used consumables.
