Hmm I wonder if anyone would ever expect anyone to ever admit when they are wrong given an environment where doing so seems to be the unforgivable sin.
Well here's the thing. Facts show you that you are wrong despite any lack of moral fortitude that would demand you own up to your misquote/ignorance or laziness when quoting the bible.
That's good enough for me, any squirming or objection by you of the truth is only icing on the cake for me!
How about I just laugh at you and wonder about that extraneous "r".
How about I have the last laugh because you are still having a discussion with other empty coconuts citing the same misquoted passage I pointed out from the beginning??

No... the takeaway from Drippy's POV must be that Christ "wanted" 30-some people to die, 600,000 to be without power and millions of others to have their homes ruined by massive amounts of water. Therefore, Florence was allowed to continue on her merry way of death and destruction.
especially when you are told to move and you stay. then death becomes a warning. Hey stupid people you live in a terrible state for storms, move your asses when one comes. boom 30 dead this is how serious.. 30 out of maybe 13 million but still serious warning.
Not a big deal, why because in my world view death is not the end. death is only a crime when one feels entitled to live 200 years because this life is all you got. or you are an unrepentant d-bag and you fear God. otherwise life death are the two sides of the same coin. grow up a little maybe then we can have a real conversation about existence in this life and or the next.
Quote:simple minds need pic to do the talking for them.. How about this the bible is the word of God. how do you know? because it is a map to God. if you follow the map it literally places you before God. You will know when God reaches out to you. and that is where Christianity differs from every other religion. it put the believer in direct contact with God, every other religion needs a prophet or priest or some sort of go between. In christianity the proof is with God.

If you expect it to make a difference, that means you're advising God on how better to implement his plan than how he was going to do it, and that he agrees with your improvement.
If you don't expect it to make a difference, you may as well just say, "I hope this happens..." like any atheist would do. It's an attempt to make someone else, or yourself, feel better or feel cared about. Otherwise, you're saying, "Please do whatever you were going to do anyway". That's rather a pointless statement. It's doubly strange, because it means you won't actually be happy if god's plan doesn't agree with what you want to happen.
If in fact God has always had a plan and always follows it regardless of prayer, then you're just cheerleading, and anything you have to say about potential outcomes is irrelevant.
actually most of you do not even understand the concept of prayer.
You are describing petitions. meaning where you ask God to change something or give you something... this is not prayer.
Prayer is thanks and asking God to change you.
God seldom answers petitions but always answers prayer.
