Going by the popular depictions, you're right.
The more theological ideas would be that hell is eternal suffering while heaven is eternal bliss. Of course the second sounds nicer, as you're guaranteed to be pleased, regardless of your earthly preferences.
The only problem for me is that eternal bliss sounds pretty boring, which contradicts the "eternity" of that bliss. And if the blissfulness can't get boring that means you're obviously not able to think straight, so it's more like being on drugs than anything else -- which is definitely NOT what I would consider a worthwhile reason to live forever.
Just because you won't care, doesn't make it worthwhile.
