But wait - what if Trump was convicted by state? That way he couldn't pardon himself!
President needs to be impeached before being convicted of any crime. I remember people on here mocking the idea that Trump is immune from arrest. I mean, he is. Not only is it in the consititution but otherwise you'd get local wacko sherriffs trying to arrest the president all the time.
Imagine Obama campaigning in the Texas, and you can see why the president needs to be immune from prosecution without impeachment.
