You can hit "reply" and that will automatically quote anything in that particular posting.

Or you can use the quote tags to be more specific

Also, if you want to quote a specific person or entity, you can do this:

Just be careful - sometimes if you drop a quote tag, the entire post disappears. Don't panic, just ask one of us "dark greens" (mods) or "reds" (admins) to help fix it, or you can do a "quick edit" and figure out where you left off the particular tag.
