That makes no sense. How is grabbing a non ball carrier by the jersey any different than grabbing and holding an arm or leg? I am not arguing that it is legal as per current rules, but I don't see how that is different.
Because these guys are monsters and if you didn't allow offensive players to get a grip on them in some capacity your QB would be a pancake by the 2nd quarter. And I'm sorry I meant to say "as long as your hands stay within your shoulder pads", meaning your not reaching out and grabbing.
