I've been through there. My in-laws used to live in Due West, SC...which is out by Greenberg/Spartanberg and don't ask me what it is "due west" of because it seems to be the middle of nowhere. Then they moved to Abbeville...which is a slightly larger shithole in the middle of nowhere!
I like Charleston, though. My sister-in-law has a house there (although they are in Milwaukee at the moment) so we aren't going to visit this year.
Some fine restaurants in Charleston, and seafood is a real luxury when I get out of Arizona....where they think Red Lobster is fine seafood.
Easier than thinking for them.
