If you want to have only a small amount of spare time for "non-productive" activities, simply become a single parent. I guarantee you will then see a sharp decrease in spare time.
But seriously, your time is what you make of it. I've been a single parent for about 12 years but I've still found time to learn the violin and now my kid and I are taking Italian classes.
I also don't believe that doing nothing is always wasted time or something to feel guilty about. I told my kid that it's good to be bored sometimes. That's when you can daydream, get creative, solve problems or think in ways that you've never thought before.
