When it was pointed out that they were refusing the stamp because Harvey Milk was a damn sexual predator (he was buggering an underage boy, which is statutory rape), all the 'splaining' in that thread was ridiculous.

The US Postal Service recently released the set of stamps commemorating the country’s first elected gay official, however an organisation called the American Family Association (AFA) has demanded its followers do not accept packages or letters bearing the “predator’s” face, arguing, “He is the last person we should be featuring on a stamp”.

Released on Wednesday, an AFA press release stated: “Honouring predator Harvey Milk on a U.S. postage stamp is disturbing to say the least. Harvey Milk was a very disreputable man and used his charm and power to prey on young boys with emotional problems and drug addiction.”
