If 'omnipotence' is taken to mean "able to do anything", it raises the question as to whether "anything" includes "the impossible". Linguistically this has to be paradoxical, since self-reference require two mutually exclusive events to be simultaneously present.
The only way out of that I can see is to go meta, and decide that the concept of "omnipotence" is not fully describable with language. Somehow, that doesn't seem very helpful, though...
