I think Trump will resign too, but by a different sequence of events.
1) The Mueller report uncovers Trump's criminality in detail.
2) The Democrat-controlled House votes to impeach.
3) The Republican-controlled Senate comes to its senses, and has the votes to remove him from office and save the Republican party.
4) Trump resigns because "the system was rigged against him."
