No it isn't.

Lets look at the US. 

Christians there are constantly using their collective clout to oppress and impose their terrible views on non-Christians.

You know what I'm talking about don't you.

The history of Christianity is one of wall to wall evil.
But what would you expect of the religion of rome.

The devil brought evil into Christianity, I believe.  It was one of his greatest tricks.  He uses Christians to persecute and oppress other Christians and non-Christians.  

I don't follow the teachings of the church of Rome any longer.

Christianity is the church of rome, all of it. I do not mean catholic I mean the religious arm of the roman empire. Used to oppress and control.
Its certainly how the protestants used the church. Look at how the british empire used it for example, it was still useful then.
