The prophecy you referred to as proof of the truth of the gospel would:
A: only be proof that the author was precognitive
B: actually be relevant if you could show that it wasn't written after the fact (which is the current understanding of the passage).
Now I doubt this is one of the reasons for your faith, and I assume it's meant to be compelling to us as atheists, but it is not (at least to me) for the reasons stated above. Introducing things like precognitive abilities into your argument only increases your workload, as now you have to provide evidence for the existence of god, the reliability of the bible as his word, the accuracy of his word (specifically with regards to the past and present), and the accuracy of predictions, or indeed even the possibility of being able to foretell the future.
