Nah, they just prioritize the rights of the baby (or fetus, whatever you wanna call it). It's not that they don't believe in unwanted babies, it's that they don't care if they're wanted or not.
It's one of those situations where it hasn't happened to them but they went to bible school once so they have a phd on everyone else's individual pregnancy's and situations and so are thusly qualified to give their opinion and legislate based on it.
