But I am sick of the far left too. I mean...not necessarily the far left. I would say I am far left politically. But the radical left is probably a better way of putting it. Really I’m sick of seeing hatefulness. And for people who say they hate bigots they sure do like to use the word retard like it’s not a slur. I’m just tired. I wish I could mute anyone and anything that was about politics for a while. All I see are angry people being hateful to each other and it’s exhausting. Has politics always been this way and I’m just now noticing or..?
Losty, not sure whom you are specifically talking about. I'm assuming it is simply a general statement inside and outside the web on TV too.
But there is a huge difference between standing up to a bully and being the bully.
I have absolutely no compunction for example, telling the orange turd to fuck off. I have no compunction telling someone who hates my neighbors for no good reason, or thinks I am a Communist dictator lover, to fuck off too.
I am looking at the bigger picture right now, and while I do think most people are GOOD, right now our politics has been hijacked by a dangerous bully and the days of being polite ended when he came down that escalator and vilified innocent people.
We currently have one man in power who is trying to destroy our western open society through political scapegoating and vilification to any dissent or question to his power. That rhetoric is dangerous, and while it is ugly to see others condemn it in strong language, it is the right thing to do.
I would love nothing more than to get back to the days when bigoted nuts could be ignored, but they have been given a voice by a very dangerous man.
