The democrats winning the house means that Trump can't pass any legislation without Democrat support.
Trump never could pass legislation. No President can.
He can write executive orders, he can make cabinet appointments and Supreme Court Justices when vacancies occur. Congress has to confirm - and damned near didn't a couple weeks ago.
Only Congress can make and pass legislation. It was doubtful they could have before this election - and even less likely now.
Welcome to gridlock - something that' s gonna be around for a long, long time.
There's so much wrong here.
1. Trump doesn't pass legislation, true, but he has to sign it into law. So legislation usually aligns with the President's views. If you don't think that Congress works with the President to pass legislation then you're misinformed.
2. Congress doesn't confirm justices / judges. The Senate does. If you think that Kavanagh "damned near didn't" get confirmed then you were watching some fantasy news channel.
3. Congress has been passing legislation for the past two years. I'm not sure what rock you've been living under but since the Republicans controlled both the House and the Senate they had an easy time passing laws.
