And of your "many scientists and engineers" exactly none are biologists* (in fact the  closest your lot have to an expert in a relevant field is an oil company geologist).  Also there are more scientists called Steve who accept evolution than who reject the evidence in favour of goddidit.

*Except Behe who literally admitted he's only in it for the money and that he's making shit up.

I am an OEC.  I believe the best science shows in terms of evidence are explosions of new life forms, rather than a slow gradual evolution of new life forms.

Define what you mean by "explosions".   Creationists often seem to think that when a scientist talks about an explosion in evolutionary changes that it happened almost instantaneously.  It didn't.  50+ million years is short by comparison but not what many seem to think.  Also, punctuated equilibrium and slower processes are not mutually exclusive.

1 to 25 million years are explosions.
