I don't see the point in living for a short period of time and then suffering and dying forever. God does not prolong lives. We are eternal beings inhabiting a fleshly body made from star dust and water. Also, eternal life is a commonly held belief by about 80-90% of the world.

That sounds awful. Mind you there will not be any housework to bicker over I suppose.
If it sounds awful, maybe you're not with your soulmate. Love is the best thing in the whole entire world.
