Too many horrific things have happened that were supposedly done in the name of religion. And too much suffering exists in our world and it makes people wonder about what kind of God would allow this to happen? It took me a long time to make my own peace with all of that, but I never really lost faith. I have just always felt a sense a purpose for being here, and I could never imagine a state of not being alive.
If you were stating that literally, you do realize that you are claiming that 93% of the world is not in their right mind. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_atheism
Yes. And you would think otherwise?
The fact that you think Christianity is the truth despite the fact that initially 93% of the people even in societies that later embraced it thought chritianity was amoral lunacy makes it clear you have no problem writing off the sanity of 93% of the people if that suited your argument.
As it happens even real Progress is never initiated or initially embraced by 93% of the people. So the 93% of the world’s people is not of the sort of right mind that sees beyond trivial easy to embrace fantasies.
I am not a Christian. I think all religions are man made but with a very good purpose in mind.
