natural selection filters the changes that enhance survival from those that hinder it.  
Everena: Define natural in that context.

We are not an intentional end product and trying to explain things by assuming that we are is just wrong.  Once you let go of that erroneous and incredibly arrogant assumption things make much more sense and don't require a magical overseer.
