This much is undeniably true, the food we eat has been artificially selected and it's entirely implausible that these cultivars would have arisen naturally. It's fairly common for people to be unaware of the origins (and the engineer) of the things we eat, and this ignorance is all that's required to produce the non sequitur that informs her beliefs.
Goes like this.
"All of this food couldn't have gotten here by chance"
Correct.
"This food is designed for us"
Correct.
"Therefore meat fairy"
Negatron...we're the meat fairy. -Therefore us- Hell, lol..if anyone actually is inflicting pain and suffering to effect personal improvement upon human beings.......that's also us, and not the meat fairy. We do it all the time.
In fairness, I think you may simply be talking past one another. How food originally arose may be somewhat mysterious and inexplicable. How we have the abundance of food to feed the people we do is itself no mystery. We did that. And largely by the same method which, on its own, explains the first.
