I understood it to be a good translation.  I mainly stick to the KJV but I will also read and reference the NASB and the ESV.

That is known as "version shopping" and is a particularly vile form of cherry-picking.

No, sometimes the ESV will expand on the meaning of the text which I like.  That is why I like using these other two versions at times as well.

Peace on Earth is almost hard to imagine since it has been inundated with war from the beginning of time.  Peace would not be under any socialist or communist or fascist regimes.  It would be found under righteous leaders in the world.
