I think we choose the way we die and we only ever suffer through any fear or pain that we have intentionally caused. I think natural disasters happen for a reason and those souls would rather be in a better place than this anyway. I know for myself, I have lost my fear of death completely with all the experiences and signs I have had, and I am ready to go at any time.
