I think we choose the way we die and we only ever suffer through any fear or pain that we have intentionally caused. I think natural disasters happen for a reason and those souls would rather be in a better place than this anyway. I know for myself, I have lost my fear of death completely with all the experiences and signs I have had, and I am ready to go at any time.

Yeah, right. The population of Pompeii and Herculaneum chose to die by being boiled, crushed, burned, poison gasses, and suffocation.

Terrorists and suicide bombers, people commiting mass genocide in some parts of the world, Hitler, Nazis and the Holocaust. the burning of over 200,000 "witches" in the 14th and 15th, and 16th century, the KKK burning black people to death, the mass rapes and beatings of people all over the world during times of war, child enslavement and forced prostitution, early American settlers raping and murdering Native Americans and it just goes on and on. 

Not everyone is nice. Some people are taking the long road to learning to be nice.
