lol. I think of God as a creator, not a designer, but there certainly are some very beautiful and amazing things in or world.
For every sense we have, we have been blessed with such pleasurable things. Things for our eyes to look at that are so beautiful, things to eat that taste so good, things that smell wonderful, sensations that feel wonderful, and of course amazing sounds to hear. What would life be without the beautiful music of nature, the sound of laughter, and the beautiful music we make playing in the background?
I say there is just one grand creator, a massive energy bigger than our entire planet who wants all of us to become better people, so we can escape the pain here and move on to something even more amazing, and have even more amazing experiences.
Then how do you explain all the things in the world that are inimical to human life? Most of this planet is uninhabitable for us - we cannot survive at high elevations, underwater, or in extreme heat or cold (not without very special artificial assistance, at least). A significant portion of the elements are poisonous to us, even in very tiny quantities. The same is true of many insects, plants, and animals. A lack of vitamins causes us serious problems, as does a surplus of them.
The idea that we're the whole purpose of this planet is ludicrous on the face of it. We are outnumbered by insects, by birds, by bacteria. There are organisms who thrive where a human would die of heat, starvation, toxicity, thirst, cold or suffocation in jig time.
The notion that we've managed to flourish on such a hostile planet doesn't point to special creation. It points to a long, slow, accumulation of the beneficial traits needed for survival. In other words, the reason that what we see is exactly what we would expect if evolution were true is very simple - it IS true.
