Chemical reactions that are occuring how? Who is heating and cooling the substances?

This.....is the common core requirement of what a student..in kentucky.... should know.....by the 1st grade.  It builds upon the kindergarten unit, that lays out that fact that there is a solar system and the stuff here comes from stars.

The thing you're having trouble with is very literally the base requirements of a k-1 education.  Five and six year old rednecks living out their days in the hollar, are required to know more about this than you now know..as an adult.
