My impression has been that opposition to identity movements, transgenderism, and gender fluidity is a party line with conservatives. What I don't fully understand is why. If you were a religious conservative, that might make sense, but here we have an atheist conservative echoing the party line. I don't see how it is related to greater conservatism other than as an example of group think.
