Nope. It was always going to happen that way. Neither Odin nor Loki were capable of changing their fates. Odin tried, gave up alot for it...but the final result was a comment on the futility of the endeavor, as all of his efforts simply built to the end that by needs must come. The worst thing that Loki ever did was an honest accident. Baldur was supposed to be immortal. Just a fun aside.
I thought the game "King's table" (Remember it being called 'Raven' something as well) was meant to show that Odin was/kind'a did find a way to 'cheat' out of Ragnarok?
*Shrugs* Ah well, ya learn sumit every day. It's not the myth system I was brought up in. Only learned about sporadically over time.
