I think things like this purity ball are for families who don't feel they have enough control over their offspring to share the parents moral standpoints with their children, and it is creepy, mostly because it's taking something very private and personal to a public forum and group consensus. Either that or they just need a group to validate their personal moral beliefs because they can't stand on their own, house of cards and all that.
