So, we've decvided what these next few months big project will be. My daughters used to be in STLP (they made the morning "news" for the school) - and they all desperately want to be youtbuers. So, as part of their stem requirement..I'll be opening up a youtube channel for them...and they're going to make a series of videos about how to make cedar strip canoes.
Lots of measuring, lots of fun facts about different species of wood and the chemical reactions involved in glassing. Lots of math. We'll be building four boats...and come march, we'll take them out onto the waterways for a little lesson in freshwater biology.
