 Yeah... Then there's the whole 'Sheep' and 'Meek' and 'Subbmitting to authority' thing happening as well.
Y'know 'Submit to the authority figures in the Church.' 'Don't question things' that kind of stuff.
Heck, even within the Odinist pagan beliefs you can be and are accepted if you're 'Gotless'.
I... may have dedicated a hall or two in my youthful days...
So not as to disctract things too much.
Not that there's any evidence for such dietys, of course.

On submission to authority, His point was that all governance are in place under the providence of God.  So submit to the power He has in place.  The wicked powers are in place due to the behaviors of the people.  If people acted right we would not have an authoritarian government like we have today spying on and harassing people to name a couple things.

 Yah... See that's the rather big sticking point.

One shuold respect authority... For as long as said authority is still doing the things for which it garners our respect. So, since respect has to be earned. Those of authority have to do things such that they deserve said repsect.

Just sitting back and claiming to have done everything is worth... well...nothing.

Again, as people have pointed out, under your view of reality your diety is directly responsivble for everything.

Good? Evil? Your diety supposedly made the lot. There is effectivly nothing humans can do againmst this seat of afairs.

It's all been set up long before we even came on the scene. We people now trying to get absovled for womething we did not do is simply wrong and sucks.

At least under the All Father, there's a big drive for people to own their own destiny etc. Plus a Pantheon has less problems with the whole notion of "Problem of evil" since some of the bad things that happen... happen for random reasons between diety's etc.
