If it was THAT important, don't you think (oh, sorry... I forgot that you don't think) that it would be as obvious as gravity? As obvious as water being wet? As obvious as red is different from blue?
There would be no need whatsoever for any god to hide in the details of biology that uses chemical reactions that rely entirely on physics to operate the way they do.
Any god's presence or signature would be obvious.
