I'm not exactly sure if banning is a good diea, but yeah there's something wrong about these surgeries and something should be done about them.

I would consider also what would be the result of the surgery, and is there a compelling medical reason why what can attempted to be achieved through surgery in children can not be achieved through surgery after the children reaches adulthood.
