Yes, but I have a problem right there. Subverting one's own intelligence in slavish thrall to an ideology that bears no relation to reality is simply wrong. 

Shall we simply stand by and watch while people wantonly  abort their own brains?

Of course not, but at some point you gotta remember its their life not yours. Imho at some point you gotta acknowledge that some people, right now, arent able, ready and willing to abandon their completely irrational beliefs. CDF is such an example. His beliefs are particularly irrational, his arguments particularly flawed he is particularly thick, so there is that. A lost case...for now. He wants to be reasonable? He knows he can come back and get lessons if he needs them.
