That is, not only can our knowledge of when and where Mitochondrial Eve lived change due to new discoveries, but the actual mitochondrial Eve can change. No, I have not been wrong.  See the definition in my post above.  This is what I thought it meant.  I read the misconceptions but that does not rule out what I said.  It does not rule out that we all descend from one woman (or one man).

See my response above. You are wrong. The individual who is currently mtEve will not be so for very long before one of the daughters inherits the title.

ETA: mtEve must have two daughters minimum. Bible Eve has none and therefore cannot be mtEve. You simply have not figured out the significance of the term "matrilineal".
