And oddly nothing much else. If an error creeps in to the sequence, it will slavishly copy that too. It doesn't "make protiens" or "contain blueprints/instructions" or any of that stuff. Left alone all it does is make copies of itself. Outside of that, it is an oddly and boringly inert complex molecule.(March 14, 2019 at 5:02 pm)IWNKYAAIMI Wrote: We logged in.((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((9))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
The almighty Cod.
The man in the white coat.
You asked. I'll answer, but I will not enter into a debate. Have been there and done that a great many times over a 40 year period.
How come we are here? The meaning of life? Why not ask a hard question?
For me, the purpose of life is itself. Life is self perpetuating, in billions of forms. I admit, it took me decades to reach and then accept that conclusion. I accept that having a god can be very comforting. I did not choose to go from catholic to Atheist .It was a long process with an inevitable outcome.
Who should we serve? Have never asked myself that question in a metaphysical sense. In a moral sense, I think being 'other centred' rather than 'self centred' is a great good and one path to personal peace and fulfilment. Not something I've actually tried, I'm far too selfish.
Who cares for us? Not a question I've asked myself since I was 17. It was at that age I became self supporting. A wife or life partner will ideally provide moral support, but does not 'serve 'the other.
There is an appropriate joke; I wanted to ask God for a new bike. However, I know god doesn't work like that. So I stole a bike and prayed for forgiveness.
