"The entire OT regarding the Messiah was about Jesus. Read Daniel's prophecy and Isaiah 53."
(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((9))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I just read them. Complete bullshit. Neither provides a clear and unambiguous prophecy about the Messiah. Each is as Christian apologists like prophecy to be; vague enough to be open to interpretation.
Below are some reasons why Jesus could not possibly have been the Messiah;
Jews have been mortally offended by christian claims Jesus was the Messiah since the beginning;
Christians declared Jesus was the son of god, and worshipped him. The called him "Christ".This is from the Greek, 'Christos' and means 'anointed' IE King; The literal meaning of Mashiach (Messiah)
According to Jewish prophecy: The Mashiach is to be a warrior king, like king David. He is most definitely NOT divine.. He will not die prematurely. His coming will herald a period of world peace. These conditions are non negotiable ,no matter how Christians apologist try to spin it.
There are more. I'll get a link for you to read if you are not simply too threatened by an opposing view.
The Jewish notion of the messiah is far more compelling to me than to the crude Christian cherry picking and dubious interpretations of scripture . :
"The word "mashiach" does not mean "savior." The notion of an innocent, divine or semi-divine being who will sacrifice himself to save us from the consequences of our own sins is a purely Christian concept that has no basis in Jewish thought. Unfortunately, this Christian concept has become so deeply ingrained in the English word "messiah" that this English word can no longer be used to refer to the Jewish concept. The word "mashiach" will be used throughout this page. "

Of course I realise that a few words from some bloke on a forum, , will not be near enough to undo deeply held, blind ,dogmatic beliefs. I've mentioned before, in the main, Christian apologists are impervious to reason or facts. The above was written to humour myself, not to change what passes for your mind.
