I can't think of any reason for there to be sanctions. Sure, I'm appalled that they are going to that extreme, although my guess is that not very many homosexuals are going to be subjected to it. We were pretty nasty with homosexuals until pretty recently. The UK chemically castrated Alan Turing for being a homosexual, even though that guy was a freaking national treasure and a hero among the allies.
On the other hand, we keep buying cheap consumer commodities from China. China is arresting people for practicing falun gong (something like Buddhism involving meditation and exercise and healthy diet). The practitioners of falun gong are used as slave labor. They are blood tested. If they are at any point found to be a match for an organ transplant tourist or any Chinese citizen needing an organ transplant, they are executed as enemies of the state and their organs are harvested before they are even dead. We know for a fact that they are using slave labor. The evidence for them using their prisoners as living organ banks is very strong. China has one of the most abusive and disgusting regimes on the planet. And yet they are everyone's favorite trading partner.
We do not inherit the world from our parents. We borrow it from our children.
