I'm not suspending disbelief for a probably.
Some will.

You see, a prophecy in the sense of predicting that something will happen, which then happens, doesn't require supernatural knowledge. You could make a lot of guesses, and count on people's tendency to remember the hits and forget the misses. Dion Fortune built her career on that. You could pass on an oral tradition and incorporate new events in a way that seems to the casual observer that they were successfully predicted when they had already happened at the time of the story's revision. You could have a canny enough grasp of current events to be able to discern the long-term results, or understand how history repeats itself (there will be wars and rumors of wars, famines and plagues, Kingdoms coming to ruin, summers and winters, etc.). You could take it on yourself to make sure the events you've predicted actually happen (as I'm about to do). I've not exhausted the non-supernatural possibilities at all.
You could even understand that prophecies aren't necessarily predictions at all, they can be inspirational, or admonitions, a prophecy is supposed to be a message from a deity. Maybe you should start a thread about prophecy if that's what you want to hang your hat on. Anyway, my prophecy came true. 100% accuracy, and it wasn't even in the Bible.
Yeah, a thread on prophecy would be good if people want to discuss it more thoroughly.

CDF cannot accept that the "prophecies" in magic book are not only not prophecy, but that they also do not come true - even when presented with evidence demonstrating that fact. He resorted, instead, to the incomprehensible claim that a city in a picture simply wasn't there. For example.
CDF cannot accept any scholarly position on the contents or composition of magic book.
CDF cannot accept that there is a known mechanism for "design" in nature, by which gradual changes in a population are sifted through a life and death pass/fail selection process.
CDF cannot accept that "information" has known vectors of origin outside of any mind, by simple material interactions, of which DNA is a wildly over-representative subject.
CDF cannot accept that the laws of heredity establish his relationship with other primates, rather than his being a descendant of a mud man and rib woman.
CDF cannot accept that mt-eve and y-adam were not breeding partners.
CDF cannot accept that speciation has been observed in the lab and in the field.
CDF cannot accept that ID was an intentional political wedge rather than a scientific hypothesis.
Finally.....
CDF cannot accept that anyone else is less credulous than himself.
The proof is in the information that functions as a code.
