True, good point.  They worshiped the creation rather than the Creator.  They willingly made that choice.  You don't have to make that same poor decision.

Nope they worshipped their creators . They made that choice because they believed it was true whole heartily too bad your god was too weak to convince them otherwise  just one more of his endless screw ups . Not accepting nonsense( your mythology ) is not a poor decision. And FYI I worship nothing .

By the way, to address the points on prophecy made early with the link to the wiki page, there are plenty of Bible commentaries which address texts like this. You can easily find these with an Internet search.
