I'm really interested in what they taught of Yahweh, the One True God.

He was the 40th son of El Elyon, and he was also the god of wars.
He was never the "one true god". They believed in many gods, (the Hebrews included) and Yahweh had a wife.
They agreed to worship him if he would help in their battles ... it's why the Jews picked him. That was the covenant.

Interesting. I see it as they included the one true God as part of their pantheon of gods.
