Well there was a Bavarian Illuminati created in 1776. There are various groups that go by that name today. Hard to say whether an actual "Illuminati" secret society exists which extends back to 1776. I believe they probably do.
There is a deep state in this country. The intelligence agencies do whatever they want and get away with it. They have been for years. Look at COINTELPRO, CIA MK Ultra, Operation Gladio, Operation Mockingbird, gangstalking, domestic and foreign counterintelligence, other operations,...............
