You just posted ten definitions for "god" and atheism is the lack of belief in "god" or "gods"

I don't see it referring to a specific definition. When a word means that many things, you must specify which definition of the word you are referring to. Atheism fails to do this.

Who are you to set requirements for what is or is not legitimate?? Also, just because there are many definitions of what god is, does not mean that a person has not isolated one in his own mind and then chosen not to believe it.

You said yourself that most people view god as a supernatural being capable of creating the universe. Most atheists that I know view "god" in the exact same way and therefore have INDEED defined god and now chosen not to believe in him.

So what exactly is your point??? Please tell me you don't really believe that your "insight" on this topic trumps everyone else's views on all things existential? If you're that arrogant you should look into Christianity ... that would be a REALLY good fit for you ... those people are NEVER wrong. Just ask them.
