At the end of the day, I see abortion as a women's health issue; not something that should be a concern of our government, other than providing women with the necessary resources/funding to pursue said healthcare. I believe in stratification, but universal healthcare simply makes sense. A healthier nation makes for a better nation, and at the point where everyone is given healthcare, there is much less of an excuse for failure.
Some people will always be at the bottom, and some at the top. That is the nature of humans.
But when it comes to abortion, I don't even see why this is a debate. Very few people see abortion as some "get out of jail free" card. For most women, or at least the women I know, it's actually a mentally tormenting thing to go through. Especially if they were raped. And now the government is telling these women that they have to give birth to their attacker's child?
Absolutely insane.
I agree. It’s insane.
Half the people I’ve talked to are sure Roe v Wade will not be overturned, but half the people are sure it will be overturned. I have no idea what to think but I’m definitely nervous
