Three songs that popped into my head recently that I just couldn't identify for some time.
Specifically, the bridge, starting around 2:39.
Somehow, there was part of me that kept the little guitar lick at the end in my head, but almost entirely divorced from this instantly recognisable hit song, and only when I rediscovered Lasagna Cat that I finally connected the dots.
For the last few days, I've been curious about this little guitar lick and a lyric that preceded it that sounded like "Like a seamstress for your love." I wasn't sure that "like a" was part of the words, and I was fairly certain the word "seamstress" wasn't actually in the song, just a word that sounds like it. But I was sure the words "for your love." And I'm sure it would have been a lot harder if there was already a famous song with that exact name that had its own famous riff that sounded nothing like what was in my head. In all seriousness, I spent hours trying to figure it out, but sometime after midnight tonight, I finally figured it was this song. And somehow, I listened to Electric Warrior a week ago when I was at HPB, but forgot who did it.
Also, why does Khem get to do a post with six YouTube videos? Was the three-video restriction finally lifted? Let me try it.
(Nope. I think I may have to try another quick post.)
Nailed It.
Just needed to do a post before anyone else posts anything, presumably before the two-hour edit window expires. And if I need to edit anything, just make sure I do it as a correction to the original post.
