it would need to be an on dash appliance. otherwise you would have to choose between A/C and a digital record player.

I got a brand new in box nintendo Wii for 5 bucks with 5 different games. this weekend and a Arvin transistor radio (FCC certified to meet all radiation limits) look like early 60s new.

It's RF ( radio frequency) radiation. All receivers radiate harmonic frequencies at the IF portion of the receiver. Just physics at work.....
