As for the Disney cannon as I said some of the events are mentioned in the official cannon book Tarkin and as the Prequels are still cannon .The main complaint about Disney is they got rid of the extended universe but all of the clone wars lore is still cannon which is were novel takes place it's safe too assume events took place pretty much the same .
Last I checked people WERE raging about the movies 'destroying' canon.
