Here's the thing, could an all powerful, all knowing fire department put out every fire in the world ?

Yes it could.

So why doesn't it ?

Because such a thing doesn't exist.

Along those lines...

This video by Darkmatter2525, pretty much puts a nail in the coffin of the idea of an all powerful (or even maximally powerful) god actually existing.

He brilliantly demonstrates the the idiocy of an all powerful god, only appearing to a tiny geographical area, to an extremely small population, but leaving all the rest of humanity to go on existing for 1000's of years, 'inventing' their own mutually exclusive religions.

Of course, Lek will just pull the "god works in mysterious ways", argument.
