Yeah, well it was pretty trippy at first, but once I figured out what was going on, I just laughed and enjoyed the trip. Afterward, the anaesthetist actually asked me could I identify why I was sniggering on the operating table.
The mind can send us on some pretty wild trips just like in dreams. So it blows me away that people think these are spiritual trips and proof of a spirit world! I remember even James Randi once said he of all people thought he had experiences an OBE once until it was pointed out to him that the things he saw in his bedroom where it occurred were not there. During his experience he saw things that would normally be on the bed such as a certain blanket and his cat. Only for his sons to point out neither were on the bed at that time so he could have been hovering above looking down or he would have seen those things were not there.
As he said these experiences in the brain are powerful and seem real enough to fool even him. And that he would have made a wrong assumption that he had an OBE had it not been pointed out to him that he clearly did not.
