Exactly! Every day in the world 15 thousand kids under 5 years old dies in unbelievable pain and suffering from parents who are mostly religious, who pray for them and yet they still die. And is there any prayer more unselfish and honest than parent praying for his or hers small child?

That's 0.000825%. If 80k people visits Lourdes each year for 100 years and in all this time there has been 66 miraculous healings, that means that out of all people who visited Lourdes 0.000825% got healed by miracle.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
